Cuba - food and drink

We loved the fresh fruit we had everyday - lots of bananas, pineapple, papaya, guava, and mango mango mango. When we ate in our casas we usually had the same thing for breakfast, egg omlette, bread, lots of fruit and some of the best coffee ever! This photo was when were in one of the local open markets

For dinner in our casa we ate mostly rice, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread and sometimes we got a treat like french fries or fried plantains. The fresh juice was also wonderful - especially the sugarcane & mangoe juice we drank during our horseback ride just outside of Trinidad!!

These were the guys that pressed our sugar cane juice - yummy!!!

and Jose was grinding coffee, then he made a cup (a really large cup) on the fire of freshly brewed coffee - so cool!
