Times Square at Night - Wow

MOMA

It was getting later in the afternoon but there was still lots of time for the MOMA. Afterall we could sleep when we got home - right.
Chris was in heaven! I enjoyed the Picasso and Warhol and who can resist a Starry Night?

toys toys toys and a bit of LOVE

Well we had to have a look at the FOA Swartz store - it was pretty crazy! And then a quick pose in front of this classic art work.

Central Park

The afternoon wasn't looking too bad so we ditched the idea of renting bikes and decided to do a self-guided walking tour of Central Park. There were so many interesting areas. Who knew there was a mini castle in there?
Highlights were definitely the Imagine memorial and our short side trip to the Dakota, as well as the beautiful view of the Boathouse.

Rock - Ice

For once when we went by the ice rink wasn't very busy - I suppose it was closed. So we thought we would take our photo!

On Broadway - theatres

We were up early to get our tickets to Steady Rain for super cheap, standing room but they were $30!! So since I had the camera I took a few photos of the theatres where Oleanna and a Steady Rain were playing.

On the town

I think this was the night we went to see a local Vancouver band play in a tiny little venue in the basement of the bar called "Pianos"

PIZZA - we ate so much we had to take photos of it

The Library

The main reason for our visit to the library was to check our email. We were happy to have an update from Mom and Walter that Addison was doing just fine! The library building itself was quite stunning and the ceiling art was spectactular!! I took more artsy photos of the lights!
I have to admit it was also quite odd having a security guard at the front entrance who checked you over, asked for ID and looked through your bag!

Grand Central Station

As you can see from the Empire State Building entry it was not the most beautiful sunny weather we had previously had. So we decided to head to some indoor sites, first stop was Grand Central Station. We have been to many train stations through out Europe but this one was pretty impressive. We did manage to find the uniques arches where you can whisper into the wall and the sound travels all the way across the ceiling and arch to the other side. We could hear each other perfectly and we were at least 20 feet away from each other.

Empire State Building

The night before we had gone off to see the Broadway play Oleanna but didn't take our cameras. So there will be more of that later when we went back to Broadway. SO the next morning we were up fairly early to beat the lines at the Empire State Building. The views were amazing! And Chris made a new friend!!
