Oregon Coast trip - 2 days Portland

This was our first visit to the super cool city of Portland - this is really where our "coffee tour" of the coast began. It was also where we discovered that it rains as much in Portland as it does in Vancouver!!
But we stuffed ourselves with amazing food truck food, explored the city, ate donuts and bought books!

Since it was still pouring rain and a little bit chilly we took the kids to the OMSI while Randal and Catina went back to Powell Books.

Oregon Coast Trip May 2013 - with Catina and Randal!! Seattle - 2 days

We went on the most fabulous trip with Catina and Randal down the Oregon Coast to San Francisco.
We woke very early to take the train to Seattle. We had the most beautiful day in the city - decided to take the "Seattle Eye" and wander around Pike Street Market.

We spent 2 nights in an awesome hostel - City Hostel (Seattle), it had a mini movie theatre in the basement and the kids loved the bunk beds. All of the rooms are custom painted by local artists and the customer service was fantastic!

Then we were back on the train to Portland!
