Driving, swim, Driving, looking, driving, sleep

We decided to take 4 days to get to Sydney. We still had our little rental car and there was much to see. We didn't really take that many photos (it didn't help that my camera was dead and had to "borrow" Chris') along this stretch - I think we were too busy looking out the window while driving, making little stops along the way. Since most of the cheap motels we stayed in didn't have cots Addison slept in a single bed, surrounded by pillows. He loved it. This map shows the route we travelled and here were some of the places we visited.

Located at the mouth of the Clyde River, Batemans Bay was a bustling holiday township, known for its seafood, so Chris loved it there! We spent the night there.

Central Tilba, the National Trust-listed village where we saw a wood turner, cobbler, baker and leather-maker at work. And we tasted the famous Tilba Club Cheese at the ABC Cheese Factory.

The beautiful rural town of Berry is famous for its gardens, trees, arts and crafts, antiques and markets. Berry is one of the wonderful contrasts of the NSW south coast.
As you approach Berry you encounter lush, rolling dairylands. With a population of less than 2,000 and with lovely treed avenues, Berry has maintained the atmosphere of an unspoilt rural township. The shade and fresh scents of its famous trees provide a beautiful venue for a day visit or a longer stay

Nowra and Jervis Bay - the view everywhere we looked was spectacular.

Anytime we stopped even close to the water Addison had to run in. So we had to dry lots of pants. This worked well.

The fishing village of Kiama, 90 minutes south of Sydney, is home to the famous blowhole, where the force of waves hitting the cliffs sends a spout of water into the air.

Bald Hill- a magnificent lookout and popular hang-gliding site and then we crossed the Sea Cliff Bridge- the 665 metre over-the-ocean bridge.

Grand Pacific Drive, a spectacular stretch of coastal road that takes you through beautiful rainforests and impressive views.

Northern Wollongong - famous for its unspoilt beaches and rock pools. That's Addison and me in a rock pool - so cool that it looks like we are in the middle of the ocean.

And then into the big city of Sydney - at rush hour I might add! Good thing Addison was amused with his "monkey tail"

On last look at the Conran beach before our slow journey back to Sydney!

Goodbye Cat and Randal!!

At Camp

Cat and Randal go camping to Conran every year so they have it all figured out. They have a whole camp kitchen (which was awesome)so we had great enjoyment cooking our meals and just hanging out. Catina even baked a cake!!! I think it was lemon walnut - delicious! and oh so fluffy. And of course the fish Randal caught was enjoyed as well.

Fishing - other beach

We drove to another area near Conran. Randal and Chris went fishing while Cat and I wrangled Addison - who was having waaaaay to much fun!

Randal did actually catch a fish!!!!
